Cover Cruze (covercruze.xyz) is an independent insurance research blog. We don’t sell policies, collect quotes, or manage user accounts. This policy explains what limited data we do collect and why.
What We Collect
Analytics data. We use analytics software (such as Google Analytics) to understand how visitors use the site. This collects your approximate IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and time on page. This data is aggregated and not tied to your identity.
Comments. If you leave a comment on a post, WordPress collects your name, email address, and the comment text. Your email is not published. Your IP address is logged by WordPress for spam prevention.
Contact form. If you use our contact form or email us at help@covercruze.xyz, we receive your name, email address, and whatever you write. We use this only to respond to your message.
Cookies. WordPress sets basic session cookies for site functionality. Google Analytics sets cookies to distinguish visitors over time. Google AdSense sets cookies to serve and personalise ads — these may track your activity across other websites. You can manage or block cookies through your browser settings, but some site features may not work correctly if you do.
What We Don’t Collect
- We don’t require account registration — there are no user accounts on this site.
- We don’t collect phone numbers or physical addresses.
- We don’t process payments or store financial data.
- We don’t offer social login (Google, Facebook, etc.).
Third-Party Services

WordPress / hosting. The site runs on WordPress. Our hosting provider logs server access data (IP addresses, request times) for security and operational purposes.
Embedded content. Some posts may embed content from external services (e.g. YouTube). Embedded content behaves exactly as if you visited that service directly and may collect data according to their own policies.
How We Use Your Data

Data Retention
Comments are kept indefinitely unless you ask us to delete them. Contact emails are kept only as long as needed to resolve your query. Analytics data is retained per Google’s standard retention settings (26 months by default).
Your Rights
You can request that we delete any personal data you’ve submitted (comments, contact messages) by emailing help@covercruze.xyz. We’ll respond within a reasonable time. If you’re in the EU/EEA, you have additional rights under GDPR; if you’re in California, you have rights under CCPA — contact us using the same address to exercise them.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
Links to Other Sites
Our articles link to external sources, insurer websites, and state government pages. We’re not responsible for their privacy practices. Check their policies before submitting any personal information to them.
Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
